From marketing director to advertising executive to magazine editor, Sue Stott has a wide breadth of experience in the MARCOM arena. In her professional life, Sue believes success is all about telling “the story.” Where you have been, where you are now… and where you are going.

Having led a team of creative professionals, she knows the many facets that need to be brought together to create an effective marketing and public relations campaign. Sue’s strengths revolve around her ability to wear many hats. As a marketing professional, she has a track record of developing and implementing successful branding strategies, and has written copy for all kinds of collateral. As an art director, she has designed magazines, advertisements and a vast array of marketing materials. As a public relations professional, she has a degree in journalism and has written volumes of press releases, pitches, articles, editorial and advertising copy. As an advertising executive, she learned the ins and outs of media planning. Perhaps her greatest strength is her ability to put all the pieces together.

In her current position as Vice President, Marketing & PR at Verasolve, she brings together her past experiences to provide her clients with expertise in branding, graphic design, public relations, marketing and event promotion.

Prior to joining Verasolve, Sue served as the art director and director of marketing and public relations at Homeland Security Today, where she was responsible for overseeing the marketing strategies of the award-winning magazine. From initial concept to final product, she was in charge of making sure the company’s branding was maintained. While at Homeland Security Today, Sue received a National AZBEE award for design from the American Society of Business Publication Editors for excellence in magazines, newsletters and digital media.

She previously worked as the director of communications and magazine editor for the Landscape Contractors Association, MD*DC*VA, and as the manager of account service representatives for Stackig, Sanderson & White, an advertising agency. Sue has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Lock Haven University.

In her personal life, Sue believes the key to happiness is simplicity and strives to make peace out of chaos. As a wife and mother of three wonderful children, she enjoys activity-packed Saturdays and Starbucks-filled Sundays. Sue is also the mother of an adorable, yet very spoiled, Maltese and is always telling him, “It’s a good thing you are cute.” Sue’s guilty pleasure is decorating. When she isn’t busy painting a room or refinishing a piece of furniture, she enjoys spending time with family and friends… especially if they have paintbrushes in their hands.
